The History
In today’s world which is being torn apart by man-made differences, there is an urgent need to build upon affinities and oneness for the very survival of mankind. In this context there is an urgent need to highlight Bedil’s teachings, his message of tolerance, harmony and peaceful co-existence. An understanding of Bedil’s life and works will certainly help in rising above narrowness and in creating a universal attitude to address our problems. Bedil provides us the fulcrum for such re-construction.
Lifetime works of Prof.(Dr.) Qamar Ghaffar were condolidated under the banner of Bedil Internatoinal Foundation in year 2011 and the work continues in stitching together the works of Bedil and his writings including the respected scholars spread across the world .
Our mission
Resurect, revive and make the place & works of Bedil alive and available to all globally to learn from the philoophy which guided many scholars and poets including Iqbal and Ghalib.
The Bedil Intl Foundation will also provide an opportunity to focus upon different facts of art and culture of India in the 17th - 18th century and upon its arterial connections with the Central Asian region. At the International level to establish a Bedil International Foundation will provide an opportunity for a meaningful interaction with the emergent, countries of Central Asia leading to new initiatives relevant in the present context.
